Seth Rich Investigator: My Report Will ‘Clear Up A Lot of Uncertainties’

Published

on

Rod Wheeler, a private investigator who worked for the Seth Rich family, is in possession of what could be a definitive report on the murder of the slain Democratic staffer. But an attorney for the Rich family is fighting to keep the report secret, even though Rich’s father personally praised Wheeler’s work and spoke to him at length on a major night in the investigation, according to a separate source.

“I’m waiting for permission to release it,” Wheeler told Big League Politics Tuesday morning. “The Rich family attorney says they do not want it released. I believe the report will clear up a lot of uncertainties.”

Wheeler has stated that evidence exists showing that Rich communicated with Wikileaks prior to his death, and prior to Wikileaks’ release of damning internal DNC emails 12 days later.

The Rich family’s attorney Joseph Ingrisano sent Wheeler a cease and desist letter to prevent Wheeler from leaking his findings.

Ingrisano is a partner at the Kutak Rock law firm. His bio at the firm states that he “has extensive experience in the defense of broker-dealers, investment bankers, underwriting managers, insurance companies, corporate officers and attorneys as lead trial counsel and co-counsel in securities fraud class-actions, litigations and arbitrations throughout the nation, as well as in enforcement matters brought by the SEC and stock exchanges.”

A message left for Ingrisano at his firm was not returned by press time.

The Rich family is currently represented in the press by Democratic crisis communications consultant Brad Bauman, who was unaware that police body camera footage exists even after leading a charge to shut down Internet fact-finders who have come up with new information and advanced the story at every turn.

Ed Butowsky, who financed private investigations into the Rich case, revealed that Rich’s father praised Wheeler’s work.

“I interviewed three or four different private detectives,” Butowsky recently said on Andrew Wilkow’s radio program. “He [Rich’s father] said, my goodness that’s Rod Wheeler from Fox News. I like that guy.”

“There is a lot of news that is about to break…Everyone is going to have some answers real soon, and people are not going to feel good about it,” Butowsky said.
“Seth’s brother is very difficult for Rod to work with…I sure hope somebody would get a hold of Rod Wheeler and get what he has, because his work has led to what will be a conclusion here very very soon,” Butowsky added.

“When I first met Mr. Rich, he said this guy Bauman was assigned to us by the DNC,” Butowsky said, noting an 18-minute nighttime phone call between Rich’s father and Wheeler in which Rich’s father was highly complimentary of Wheeler’s work.

“There’s a lot more to it. Mr. and Mrs. Rich are wonderful people.”

“Brad Bauman wrote it,” Butowsky said, referring to a Washington Post op-ed from the Rich family imploring people to stop “politicizing” the murder.

“Mr. Rich wants to find out who killed his son,” Butowsky said.

Wheeler’s Facebook page shows him standing in Ferguson, Missouri with Jesse Jackson.

Prominent GOP Attorney Says Jim Jordan Accuser Admitted He Was ‘Hoping’ to Get Money

Published

A prominent GOP attorney wrote a long defense of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) on her personal Facebook page yesterday, in which she claimed that one of Jordan’s accusers has admitted to making his accusations on false pretenses.

Cleta Mitchell wrote the following:

“My friend Rep Jim Jordan is under attack by some very disreputable sources. To suggest that Rep Jordan would turn a blind eye to any injustice, wrongdoing, immoral or illegal act is absolutely laughable. Anyone who has known and worked with Jim Jordan, as I have, for nearly a decade knows that Rep Jordan never shies from a fight and that he leads the charge whenever there is a hint of something wrong – even to his own political detriment where others prefer that he remain silent, as they do. He never does.

The question I ask is why are these spurious allegations from disreputable sources being fomented against him now? Who is really behind this? It appears to me to be a concerted effort to smear one of the most honorable gentlemen ever to have served in the US House of Representatives. That is what NBC and other news outlets should be investigating…who is behind this? Can it be sources close to those in the Mueller investigation and the Department of Justice who are uncomfortable with Rep Jordan’s relentless pursuit of the truth behind what they have been doing for the past two years? That is much more likely than that these bizarre accusations are based in any facts whatsoever. We know Jim Jordan. We are only now learning about his accusers and there is something smelly about this entire episode. And yesterday, one of Jordan’s accusers admitted that they were “hoping” to get money … that’s a federal crime. Will the FBI arrest them?”

Mitchell did not specify which accuser was hoping to use the scandal for financial gain, but she is a GOP legal insider.

She confirmed her statement for Big League Politics but did not provide further details at this time.
