Shocking: Bill Clinton Opposes New York City’s Immigration Sanctuary Policies

On October 1, 2023, former President Bill Clinton admitted that New York City’s “Right to Shelter law” must be changed in light of the migrant crisis that has completely swamped the city. The Biden regime has unleashed this open border policy, which has now impacted many blue cities.
“Gov. [Kathy] Hochul thinks it should be modified, and it probably should under the circumstances,” Clinton said to host John Catsimatidis on 77 WABC radio’s “The Cats Roundtable” show. On top of that, he noted that the migrant crisis engulfing major metropolitan areas nationwide is making Democrats look bad in front of voters.
Clinton asserted that NYC’s “Right to Shelter” law needs to be modified as tens of thousands of illegal aliens flowed into the city in 2023 after going across the southern border with Mexico.
“It’s broken. We need to fix it… It doesn’t make any sense,” Clinton commented about the law.
“They come here, and we’re supposed to shelter people who can’t get work permits for six months. We need to change that,” he continued.
“They ought to work. They need to begin working, paying taxes and paying their way. Most of these people have no interest in being on welfare,” Clinton stated.
Democratic leaders at all levels of government, or even retired, in Clinton’s case, are beginning to realize that America’s open borders experiment has been a costly mess. However, there is perhaps a more cynical ploy here.
Democrats realize that the 2024 elections are right around the corner and they are floundering at the polls. In turn, they are taking immigration restriction positions. However, these positions are mere posturing at best. It’s all about getting votes in 2024.
Once in power, Democrats will go back to their open borders programming. For that reason, Clinton’s comments should be ignored and America First patriots should continue promoting candidates who will actually put forward sensible immigration restriction measures such as an immigration moratorium and ending birthright citizenship.
The only hope for restoring order in America is America First nationalism becoming the political norm.
