Soros-Funded DA in Philadelphia Urges Judges to Go Soft On Looters

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is calling on judges to consider cases against looters on an individual basis and exercise restraint when it comes to meting out punishment on “fundamentally law-abiding” looters.
Krasner has been bankrolled by the likes of culturally leftist billionaire George Soros. In 2017, WHYY published a report that Soros dropped $1.7 million to fund Krasner’s campaign, which played an integral role in winning the DA office he currently holds.
Krasner’s comments came after a series of lootings that have swept across Philly over the last month. The Philly DA stressed that some of the looters were actually “law-abiding,” a FOX News report noted.
Krasner stated, “We’re going to prosecute people in an even-handed way. We’re not going to let any judge — who thinks there is a caste system, and some people get better treatment than others — we’re not going to let any judge disturb the peace of this city.”
He continued, “We’ll look carefully to see whether this is a one-off situation and they’re fundamentally law-abiding people, hold them accountable one way; or whether they are criminals, and they’re all about taking advantage of some sort of unrest for their own benefit, and they will be prosecuted another way.”
On October 2, 2023, Philadelphia Magazine noted that Krasner may be “walking back” several of the recent arrests of alleged looters.
Krasner was quoted as saying, “A large number of them are young. They are between the ages of 18 and 25. In general, what we’re seeing is that most of them have no criminal record or a minimal criminal record. … There are certainly some people in this group who are much more concerning than others. … Part of our task will be to make sure we do individual justice in each one of these cases.”
This is a pure soft-on-crime mindset. Under no context, can looting be considered lawful. Krasner is doing everything possible to turn Philadelphia into a facsimile of Gotham — where criminals reign supreme and lawful citizens are left defenseless against them.
That’s what’s in store for America, if the Soros network’s and other related billionaires’ agenda is not stopped in its tracks.
