Texas AG Ken Paxton Sues Biden Regime Over Federal Parole Program for Illegal Aliens

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is leading the way in suing the Biden regime for its enactment of a parole program that allows thousands of illegal aliens to be let loose into the United States.

Paxton’s office said the following:

Promulgated by the Department of Homeland Security, the new program involves the Biden Administration proactively recruiting hundreds of thousands of aliens while they are in their home countries and using taxpayer dollars to fly them into interior cities around the country. These aliens could then stay in the United States for years.

Paxton’s office issued a warning about “the steep costs of admitting hundreds of thousands of aliens—millions of dollars in spending on healthcare, law enforcement, and education—would be a massive burden to Texas.”

The Texas government filed a motion calling for the program to be suspended until the court issues a ruling on the case.

Per the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, parole is only meant to be granted for “urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.”

USCIS added: “Parole is not intended to be used solely to avoid normal visa processing procedures and timelines, to bypass inadmissibility waiver processing, or to replace established refugee processing channels.”

The Biden regime’s parole program was extended to nationals hailing from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

“Instead of rolling out the red carpet for hundreds of thousands of aliens and using taxpayer dollars to bring them into the country, Joe Biden should be focused on securing our border,” declared Paxton. “This illegal parole program is yet another example of Biden and Mayorkas’ desperation to ignore our nation’s laws to advance an open-borders agenda.”

According to a report by US Customs and Border Protection, “During January, 11,637 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans (including immediate family members where applicable) were paroled into the country by Office of Field Operations through the parole processes established for Venezuelans in October and expanded to the additional nationalities in January.”

“We and other organizations have been sounding the alarm on these illegal categorical parole programs instituted by the Biden administration to conceal the scale of the invasion at our southern border and claim credit for solving the crisis,” Chris Russo, the president of Texans for Strong Borders, said to Texas Scorecard. “We are very encouraged to see AG Ken Paxton taking the lead on this issue, and we hope that the courts will rule on the plain reality that these programs have absolutely no statutory authority whatsoever and represent a wholesale reinvention of immigration law by open borders radicals in the current administration.”

Texas is simply more interested in defending the border than the US federal government. At this point, the Lone Star State may just have to create a parallel border security infrastructure to address the existential problem of mass migration. It’s abundantly clear that the feds don’t care about this issue and in fact want to accelerate the Great Replacement — a development that will result in the destruction of the Historic American Nation.
