Texas Attorney General Obtains Injunction to Protect Texas Border Barriers From Biden Regime Intervention

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton made a recent announcement that he was able to obtain an injunction against the Biden regime that would prevent federal agents from destroying critical wire fence barriers along Texas’ border with Mexico.

This comes after an administrative stay Paxton obtained earlier in January issued by the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The injunction, however, bans federal agents from taking downTexas’ concertina wire fences pending appeal against the Biden regimen. The injunction was filed on December 19.

Paxton’s office published a press release that details, despite acknowledging that the federal government failed to enforce current immigration law, a federal district court ruled that the Biden regime enjoyed sovereign immunity. In effect, the Biden regime cannot be sued without giving its consent.

The result was that the court let border patrol agents to continue the take down of the fences, which prompted Paxton to immediately file an appeal to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. The Fifth Circuit reached the conclusion that the Biden regime did not enjoy sovereign immunity and stopped the destruction of the fences as the matter continues to go through the litigation process.

“I am very pleased the appellate court has forbidden federal agents sent by the Biden administration from destroying our concertina wire fences,” Paxton declared.

He also continued, “Given the ongoing disaster at the southern border due to the federal government’s intentional actions, more than ever it is necessary to take every step we can to hold the line.”

“I will continue to fight against the Biden administration’s radical policies and work to make Texas a safer, more secure place to live,” Paxton said in a concluding remark.

It’s good to see that the Texas state government is standing up to the feds here. It’s high time that the feds be held accountable for their dereliction. More importantly, the Texas state government must be willing to assume immigration functions at a time when the feds have no interest in enforcing current immigration law.

That’s how the cookie will have to crumble in this Clown World epoch of politics.
