The Biden Regime is Begging States to Pass Gun Prohibition That The United States Rejected

After Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and his Democrat cronies in the United States Senate failed to pass an “assault weapons” prohibition the Biden regime is re-focusing its attention to state legislatures.

In this instance, they’re calling on them to prohibit AR-15s and similar rifles.

On December 6, 2023, a Breitbart News report highlighted that the New York Senator put forward an “assault weapons prohibition before the Senate. Wyoming Senator John Barrasso and other Republicans would subsequently capsize this anti-gun scheme.

On December 13, 2023, a Washington Post report highlighted that the Biden regime is pivoting to state legislatures, calling on them to pass the gun prohibition that could not be passed in the US Senate. Additionally, the regime wants states to pass laws that would grant individuals the power to sue firearm companies over the alleged criminal use of legally manufactured firearms.

100 elected officials from 39 states convened at the White House on December 13 to hear Vice President Kamala Harris announce the change in policy focus. Harris declared, “We are fighting just for what is reasonable and, of course, what is right.”

Stefanie Feldman, director of the White House office of gun violence prevention, declared, “We are going to continue to call on Congress to act but in the meantime, we are going to be working hand in hand with states to advance all these agenda items.”

Georgia Congresswoman Lucy McBeth tried to encourage civilian disarmament advocates by noting that the policy pivot does not signify an end to the regimes gun control objectives. She proclaimed, “We’re certainly not finished.”

Gun Owners of America’s (GOA) director of federal affairs, Aidan Johnston had a different take on this shift in policy focus. He observed the following: “[The] shift to state-level actions indicates a reluctance to push new anti-gun measures through Congress.”

Johnston proclaimed that the gun controllers’ policy pivot “underscores [GOA’s] success in resisting federal gun control.”

Indeed, the gridlock generated in Congress has made the passage of gun control an untenable prospect.

However, the gun controllers never rest. When they fail at the federal level, they will invariably shift their attention to the state level. For that reason, gun control activists plugged into the state-level political scene must remain vigilant.

Wherever it sees an opening, Gun Control Inc. will look to pounce and undermine gun rights.
