TikTok Rolls Out Plan to Fight Climate “Misinformation”

At the most recent COP28 conference in Dubai, social media platform TikTok announced a $1 million program to fight so-called climate “disinformation” and “misinformation.” TikTok has teamed up with Verified for Climate – a joint venture the United Nations and Purpose are spearheading.

TikTok plans on creating a group of “Verified Champions”, which are experts and scientists hailing from Brazil, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates.

These Champions will provide guidance to select TikTok creators to churn out educational content that challenges what TikTok deems as climate misinformation.

Ian Gill, TikTok’s Global Head of Sustainability, stressed
TikTok’s commitment to fighting noxious misinformation and disseminating reliable information. TikTok prohibits content that challenges the scientific consensus with respect to climate change, which effectively muzzles dissent on the matter.

Gill wants to turn climate anxiety into empowerment and action, while engaging users in climate conversations via hashtags and documentary series.

All of this is euphemistic discourse for what is just another censorship program being put forward by the ruling class. Climate change fanatics don’t like the idea of dissent, because they know their bogus narratives will melt under any form of debate. So they turn to petty forms of censorship to impose their agenda.

That’s how things roll on the cultural Left — a tyrannical force that is not interested in free speech whatsoever.
