TradCath Media Leader Explains Why the Time is Now for Christians to Become Engaged in Politics

Church Militant founder Michael Voris, a leader in the movement to return the Catholic Church to traditionalism, appeared on Big League Politics Live to describe why the time is now for Catholics and traditionalist Christians to become engaged in mainstream politics.
Voris explained that serious Christians need to get involved in the Republican Party to “reshape” the party so that politicians are pressured to express more than a tepid defense of traditional values.
“The actual leadership – the Mitch McConnells and to some degree Donald Trump – many of these guys are down with things that at least to some degree violate any norm of Christianity that we understand,” he said.
Voris explained that recent discussions about abortion by the Supreme Court, even from ostensibly conservative justices, illustrate how far the country has strayed from the Christian value of respect for life.
“It’s just baffling. It’s baffling to people who are solid Christians, Catholics, that why can’t you just go all the way with this because the other side does,” Voris said.
He described the local fights, such as those that are happening in school boards across the country, as a way for Christians to get involved in politics and wage the culture war. He talked about “the Catholic principle, subsidiary, meaning the most local it can be” as a starting point for Christians to become engaged.
“School boards don’t cover vast regions of millions of the populations. It deals generally with a few thousand of the population. If you can get sufficient people and talk to them, it’s their backyard. You stand out in front of the supermarkets, explain what’s going on, get people to sign things, to show up, and that sort of thing,” Voris said, adding that this can be the best way for Christians to get the “most bang for their buck” in their activism.

“The National School Boards Association is calling for the Biden administration to classify concerned parents as terrorist threats due to a growing backlash against critical race theory, mask mandates, and other abusive practices pushed by public school commissars on children.
National School Boards Association President Viola Garcia and Interim Executive Director and CEO Chip Slaven sent a letter on Wednesday to Biden demanding that ordinary parents be profiled as potential terrorists and hate criminals.
“As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes,” the letter states.
The letter calls parents organizing to oppose radical leftism in schools “angry mobs” and demands federal action to harm their 1st Amendment rights.“
Voris said that the lesson learned from Donald Trump is that conservatives need to abandon the principles of statesmanship and “put on brass knuckles” for the political fight against the Radical Left that wants to destroy civilization and replace it with a degenerate hellscape.
