Former President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that he expects to be arrested a third time as part of the DOJ’s “witch hunt” January 6th investigation.

Per the post, Trump claimed he faces “arrest and indictment” and was only given four days to respond to a Sunday night letter from special counsel Jack Smith. Who, according to The Daily Wire, was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in November to investigate both Trump’s handling of sensitive documents and his alleged efforts to overturn the election.
“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation,” Trump shared on Truth Social, “and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and indictment.”
“So now,” the former President continued, “Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court, in retrospect, on his corrupt and unethical actions, a very wise decision!), together with Joe Biden’s Department of Injustice, have effectively issued a third Indictment and Arrest of Joe Biden’s NUMBER ONE POLITICAL OPPONENT, who is largely dominating him in the race for the Presidency.”
Trump added that “nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before, or even close,” then went on to list past examples that have proven to be nothing-burgers over time.
The Washington grand jury Smith talked about in his letter is believed to be looking into Trump’s conduct in the time between the 2020 election and the January 6th riots.
“THIS WITCH HUNT IS ALL ABOUT ELECTION INTERFERENCE AND A COMPLETE AND TOTAL POLITICAL WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT! It is a very sad and dark period for our Nation!” Trump concluded at the end of his Truth Social post.
The Gateway Pundit has reported about the Biden DOJ and its push to treat January 6th “insurrectionists” as political prisoners. Referring to the DOJ wanting to lock up defendants for even more years – ultimately leading to some dying in prison just to “score political points.”

A sentence of any similar magnitude for Trump – who is 77 years old – could also be a death sentence for the aging GOP frontrunner. This witch hunt has dire consequences.
