TRUMP WINS AGAIN: No More Kneeling for Whiny NFL Players

After on-field protests sparked massive backlash from NFL fans and President Donald J. Trump, the NFL has implemented a new National Anthem policy.

“NFL owners have unanimously approved a new national anthem policy that requires players to stand if they are on the field during the performance but gives them the option to remain in the locker room if they prefer,” according to ESPN.

Trump called for changing the policy numerous times, which caused a nationwide debate on whether it is appropriate to kneel during the anthem.

“Sports fans should never condone players that do not stand proud for their National Anthem or their Country,” he said in a September Tweet. “NFL should change policy!”

Teams will be hit with a fine if players refuse to abide by the new rule. The amount of the fine is unclear at this time.

“Two dozen NFL players continue to kneel during the National Anthem, showing total disrespect to our Flag & Country,” said Trump. “No leadership in NFL!”

Now, the NFL leadership has caved.

“We want people to be respectful of the national anthem,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We want people to stand — that’s all personnel — and make sure they treat this moment in a respectful fashion. That’s something we think we owe. [But] we were also very sensitive to give players choices.”

“It was unfortunate that on-field protests created a false perception among many that thousands of NFL players were unpatriotic,” Goodell continued. “This is not and was never the case.”

The NFL is the latest example of what has become an undeniable pattern: Betting against Trump leads to bad results.
