Unhinged Blue States Attempt to Derail Trump’s Border Security Agenda

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra is leading the charge to challenge President Trump’s national emergency declaration on the border with Mexico.

16 states have banded to together to stop Trump’s emergency order. As expected, they are seeking the injunction to stop Trump’s order in the Ninth Circuit, which has proven to be a thorn in the Trump administration’s side.

The 16 states include:

California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Hawaii
Illinois
Maine
Maryland
Michigan
Minnesota
Nevada
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Oregon
Virginia

All of these states, with the exception of Maryland, are under Democratic governorship

This lawsuit could delay the construction of the wall for weeks or even months.

Of course, this is the open border Democrats’ play, as they would like to drag this process out as much as possible and ultimately kill any possibility of a wall being built.

Ironically, Democrats are accusing President Trump of “an unconstitutional and unlawful scheme” and their lawsuit contends that the states are attempting “to protect their residents, natural resources, and economic interests from President Donald J. Trump’s flagrant disregard of fundamental separation of powers principles ingrained in the United States Constitution.”

This is amusing when we look at the Democrat’s track record of the past few decades, which is one filled with repeated constitutional abuse, especially in areas concerning foreign policy, healthcare, and education. It seems like when Democrats are out of power, they turn into constitutionalists all of the sudden.

At first glance, it looks like Congress will pass a resolution that would end the emergency through simple majority votes in the House and Senate. We can thank a handful of weak-kneed Republicans for this resolution’s passage. Instead of standing for a strong border and a sane immigration system, Republicans like Marco Rubio are content with the open border status quo.

The good news is that Trump is planning to veto this resolution and Senate Democrats are unsure that they have the votes to override Trump’s veto.

DC is clearly more concerned with obstructing Trump at all costs rather than providing an actual solution at the border.

What’s happening at the border is no laughing matter, as drug and human trafficking continue unabated. Not to mention the potential cultural changes the U.S. could face if maintains its open border status quo.

One can hope that this latest obstructionist scheme meets a fiery death once it reaches the Supreme Court.

For the sake of America’s survival as a nation, we need a rational border policy now.
