United States Gov Blames Iran For Attacking Tanker In the Indian Ocean

A chemical tanker sailing across the Indian Ocean was recently attacked by a drone allegedly operated from Iran, per United States military authorities.

The Defense Department revealed in a statement that the Chem Pluto was struck roughly 200 nautical miles from the coast of India on December 24, 2023 by a “one-way attack drone fired from Iran”. This represented the seventh attack by Iranian military units on commercial shipping since 2021, the Defense Department statement highlighted.

“There were no casualties and a fire on board the tanker has been extinguished,” stated a Defense Department spokesperson. The attack represents the first time that the US has blamed Iran for carrying out a direct attack on a civilian vessel since Israel’s war with Hamas kicked off in October.

On December 23,  the US accused Iran of being “deeply involved” in a series of attacks by the Houthi rebels on ships in the Red Sea in the past few months, which has largely disrupted global trade. Iran has denied allegations of it providing military aid to the Houthis.

Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran’s foreign minister, announced on national television that the US government’s accusation was “baseless”. “This is a Yemeni decision to defend and support Gaza,” he continued.

Iran is clearly not happy by the US-Zionist axis’ attempts to destabilize it. The Islamic Republic views itself as a civilization state with a historical sphere of influence. Whenever external actors like the US enter its space and try to destabilize it, Iran will respond in kind forcibly.

There are large segments of the American foreign policy establishment who desperately want to topple the Iranian regime, ranging from rabid Zionists to delusional Iran hawks. These people should ultimately be ignored and thoroughly discredited.

It’s time for some America First nationalism instead.
