United States Is Calling On China To Defuse Houthi Tensions in Backdoor Meeting

United States national security adviser Jake Sullivan has called on China to use its leverage with Iran to restrain the Houthi rebels — who have received material support from the Iranians — attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea in a backroom meeting with Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi.

A senior US official stated Sullivan had manifested the concern with Wang during two days of meetings in Bangkok, Thailand.

The official declared that China had “substantial leverage” with Iran and that China had brought up the issue with Iran. But the official said the US was attempting to see if China  had brought it up and if any of its efforts would actually be effective.

“We’re looking to . . . facts on the ground, and those attacks seem to be continuing,” the official stated.

The Biden regime said that it also held “candid, substantive and constructive discussions” on issues that included Russia’s war in Ukraine, the Middle East, North Korea, and the South China Sea.

The US is starting to become a joke on the world stage. Moreover countries are beginning to recognize it as a complete chaos agent that just stirs up trouble abroad.

For that reason, the whole planet will not trust it to secure the peace. With how China was able to broker a normalization of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, China is now viewed as a more reliable mediator for peace on the global stage.

The times sure are a changin.
