University of Michigan Has Over 500 Jobs Committed to Anti-White Hate

According to a report by The College Fix, the University of Michigan is continuing to increase the number of staffers dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Currently, there are at least 241 paid employees now concentrated on DEI and payroll costs surpassing $30 million on a yearly basis.

Salaries account for $23.24 million of the  payroll costs, while 7.44 million are allocated for benefits, which puts the total at

$30.68 million. Jennifer Kabbany of The College Fix observed that “amount that would cover in-state tuition and fees for 1,781 undergraduate students.”

13 DEI staff members make over $200,000 yearly and 66 make over $100,000 when benefits are factored in.

On top of that, 76 faculty or staff members have part-time roles as “DEI Unit Leads” advancing anti-white diversity efforts at any of UM’s 51 schools, colleges, and units. This puts UM’s core DEI headcount to 317, observed economist Mark Perry, who carried out the analysis.

The number of positions at Michigan’s leading university promoting DEI is north of 500 when including individuals who work full-time or part-time on DEI and taking into account open and unfilled positions, in addition to employees who work as “DEI Unit Leads” and others who work on dozens of DEI committees, Perry stated.

“That brings the total number of UM employees who advance DEI on either a paid or unpaid basis to well more than 500 and possibly as high as 600,” declared Perry.

Currently, the public university has at least 241 paid staff members whose main role is to provide DEI introduction and services as a primary job responsibility, per Perry.

Owing to UM’s ambitious five-year Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) 2.0 Plan, the university’s 19 academic schools and colleges and its 32 non-academic units must currently implement DEI plans. Some of the non-academic units are the school’s three libraries, art museum, botanical gardens, IT department, athletics, development, audit services, among other units.

“UM’s five-year diversity central plans are reminiscent of the Soviet Union’s and Communist China’s five-year central plans to achieve ‘Ideal Communist Societies’ which are examples of top-down oppressive bureaucratic blueprints to socially engineer outcomes decided by the top leadership of the dictatorial regimes,” Perry remarked.

“UM has become a DEI ideological complex with a university attached,” he added.

The $30.68 million cost to finance the 241 DEI employees does not include indirect costs,  for example, conference expenses, computers, phones, printers, travel expenses, and overtime.

DEI staff  are handsomely paid with salaries up to $402,800 for the university’s chief diversity administrator, Tabbye Chavous Sellers. For reference, Michigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer is paid $159,300 annually, and the average annual pay for assistant, associate, and full professors at UM are $129,500, $148,300, and $206,500, respectively.

The average salary for DEI staff at University of Michigan is $96,400. When fringe benefits are factored in, 144 DEI employees at University Michigan receive a total pay of over $100,000.

These employees are parasites plain and simple. They offer no value and provide no ability for students to build marketable skills.

This is just another reason why cultural leftism needs to be purged out of the higher education system.

Higher education should only have paid workers that prepare students for the real world, not ideological disseminators of cultural degeneracy.
