VIDEO: Ilhan Omar Referred to Somalia as ‘Our Nation Back Home’ in 2015 Speech

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) referred to Somalia as “our nation back home” in a newly resurfaced 2015 speech, adding fuel to the fire of the controversy surrounding her her anti-American, anti-Semitic sentiments.
Newly resurfaced video shows that, reportedly while speaking before the Revolution Somali Youth League in 2015, Omar told the audience that the 2016 elections represented an “ability” for Somali-Americans to influence the future of the United States, as well as Somalia.
“2016 is election cycle, and you guys have an ability to make an impact on where our nation is headed,” said Omar. “Not only here in the United States, but even our nation back home.”

Omar is part of “The Squad” who President Donald Trump referred to in his tweets suggesting anti-American Congresswomen should leave the United States and return to their ancestral homeland if they hate the country. President Trump was called racist by the leftist media as a result, and doubled then tripled down on his sentiments in interviews, press conferences, and his most recent rally.
Recently, Omar refused to condemn terrorist violence from a member of Antifa who attacked a Tacoma, Washington migrant detention center, armed with an AR-15 rifle and Molotov cocktails.
Omar was caught on video cackling maniacally after the reporter asked both her and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to disavow the violence.
Video journalist Keean Bexte repeatedly asked Omar and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to disavow the Antifa Firebomber who attacked a migrant detention facility in Tacoma, Washington last weekend. Apparently believing she was not on camera as she entered a vehicle, Omar is seen laughing maniacally as the journalist continued to ask questions, a reaction that audibly threw Bexte off kilter and appeared to shock the journalist.
“Do you feel responsible at all? Will you tell Americans not to be violent anymore? Antifa to be,” he stammered, noticing Omar laughing in the next seat over, “to be exact? Should Antifa stop being violent?”
On Twitter, Bexte wrote “After repeatedly asking @Ilhan and @AOC if they would condemn the Antifa firebomber, and if they felt partly responsible, the two got into their SUV and Omar (likely thinking she was off camera) burst into ear to ear laughter.” He added, “Was there ever a doubt Omar hated America?”
Omar’s anti-American sentiments were perhaps best chronicled when she blasted the United States’s Founding Fathers, and claimed they founded the country on “genocide.”
Omar addressed an event in April hosted by the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL), an anti-police Black Lives Matter front group, where she threatened white people with imminent conquest while denigrating the supposedly genocidal legacy of the Founding Fathers.
“We are collectively saying [to Trump], your vile attacks [and] your demented views are not welcome here,” Omar said at the event. “This is not going to be the country of the xenophobics. This is not going to be the country of white people.”
“This is not going to be the country of the few,” she added. “This is the country of the many. This is the country that was founded on the history of Native American genocide and on the backs of black slaves, but also, by immigrants.”
“The Squad” continues denigrating the country they, or their parents, migrated to while seeking a better life, thus proving President Trump’s point, and Republicans are catching on according to a recent poll. In the poll, an overwhelming 88 per cent of Republicans approved of President Trump’s tweets, compared to only 70 per cent of Democrats who did not.
