Virginia, North Carolina Lost the Most Confederate Symbols in 2020

According to new data, Virginia and North Carolina lost the most Confederate monuments in 2020.

The left-wing hate group Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) reported that 168 Confederate monuments were either renamed or removed from public venues in 2020. According to WPDE, 94 of those symbols were monuments commemorating Confederate figures.

2020 was a big year for historic iconoclasm. For example, from 2015 to 2019, 58 Confederate monuments were taken down, per SPLC reports.

According to a recent report from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), 168 Confederate symbols were renamed or removed from public spaces last year — 94 of those symbols were Confederate monuments. Comparatively, SPLC says 58 Confederate monuments were removed between 2015 and 2019.

“This encompasses government buildings, Confederate monuments and statues, plaques, markers, schools, parks, counties, cities, military property and streets and highways named after anyone associated with the Confederacy,” SPLC’s ‘Whose Heritage?’ report outlined.

Virginia stood in first place for the number of Confederate symbols taken down (71). As mentioned before, North Carolina was in second place (24). Alabama (12) and Texas (12) were tied for third place, per the SPLC’s analysis.

Virginia’s loss of historic monuments comes as the commonwealth is transformed into a province of the globalist elite, with federal employees swinging the state reliably to the Democratic column.

The SPLC claims that over 2,100 Confederate symbols are still standing in the U.S. And of those symbols, 704 are monuments.

The Left isn’t playing. The level of radicalism that has engulfed their way of thinking is leading them to pursue iconoclasm that has never been witnessed in American history.

The preservation of American history is a worthy cause and any candidate in the 2020 elections who runs on a platform to defend American heritage can uniquely position themselves and galvanize grassroots voters who are frustrated with non-stop attacks on their culture.
