Vladimir Putin Believes Tucker Carlson Is a “Dangerous Man”

After his controversial interview with right-wing journalist Tucker Carlson, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that he thought Carlson “would behave in an aggressive manner and would ask so-called sharp questions”, but “surprisingly for a Western journalist, he was patient.”

“Not only was I prepared for that, I wanted that, since it would provide me with an opportunity to respond likewise sharply, which, I believe, would give a certain special character to our whole conversation. However, he opted for different tactics, he tried to interrupt me several times, but still, surprisingly for a Western journalist, he was patient, he listened to my long speeches, especially those related to history, and did not let me do what I would have been ready to do,” Putin added.

“I think that your Carlson (when I say ‘your’, I mean that he is a member of the journalistic shop) is a dangerous person,” Putin also said to Rossiya-1 TV host Pavel Zarubin during an interview, which was published on the Russian government’s Telegram channel.

Carlson is one of the last journalists in the US with a shred of integrity. He is willing to interview anyone and cover any subject, no matter how politically incorrect it may be. The fact that he interviewed Putin shows his open-mindedness — a trait that is fully lost on contemporary journalists.

While journalism has largely deteriorated over the past few decades in the US, Carlson is one of the last public figures who dares to maintain journalistic integrity and broach controversial subjects.

We need more Carlson if we want any return to sanity.
