WATCH: Army Veteran Struck in Head with Bike Lock at Rhode Island Antifa ‘Protest’
A U.S. Army veteran and former candidate for U.S. Congress was struck in the head with a bike lock after an Antifa protest at the Rhode Island State House on August 4.
“According to police logs, Alexander Carrion, 34 of Providence, was arrested on the scene for “assault with intent to commit a felony — serious injury, and disorderly conduct. This is not the first time Carrion has been arrested at rallies in Rhode Island. In 2016, he was arrested while demonstrating against then candidate President Donald J. Trump at rally in Warwick,” said The Ocean State Current.
Carrion’s victim was Samson Racioppi, who was attacked while he escorted two elderly women to their car in a parking garage when police ordered the protestors to disperse. There, he was attacked by masked Antifa members.
“Something I’ve learned over the years is, engage someone verbally while you still have some distance between you. I wanted to find out where his head was at,” said Racioppi. “Not sure if he responded with a ‘f*** you.’ He might have, but that’s when bike-lock wielding guy came up from behind and clocked me over the head with it. Didn’t see him coming.”
Ironically, the event at which Racioppi was assaulted was organized by “Ocean State Against Hate,” an Antifa group.
The assailant, Carrion, spit in the face of a man at a 2016 Trump campaign event, for which he was arrested.
The extent of Racioppi’s injuries is unknown, though he did post the following photo to Facebook after the attack:
Last week, a Bay Area community college professor and Antifa member received probation after accepting a plea deal for hitting someone in the head with a bike lock at rally in Berkeley, CA.
“According to Alameda County Superior Court records, Clanton entered a “no contest” plea Wednesday to one misdemeanor battery charge,” wrote Berkleyside. “The felony charges against him were dismissed, and an allegation that he had caused serious bodily injury was stricken. A misdemeanor charge that Clanton wore a mask during the commission of the crime also was dropped.”
Eric Clanton, former philosophy professor at Diablo Valley College allegedly struck seven people with a bike lock wrapped in a sock at right wing free speech rally that turned violent when Antifa protestors showed up. The rally took place at UC Berkeley.
Coast to coast, radical left-wingers have ratcheted up their violent attacks against anyone to the right of Stalin.
