WATCH: After Mar-A-Lago FBI Raid, Trump Teases 2024 Run With ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ Video

Former President Donald Trump had his Mar-a-Lago home raided by the FBI on Monday.

Last night, this news became the number one trending story on social media after Trump released the following statement:

Some Republicans said that this would be an optimal time for Trump to announce that he is running for President in 2024. Calling on him to use this witch hunt by America’s hyper-politicized FBI as fuel to ignite his MAGA “drain the swamp” base ahead of the 2022 midterms.

Though the highly anticipated announcement has yet to come, the former President posted the following video on Truth Social which has many speculating a 2024 campaign launch soon.

“The best is yet to come,” the video says. Implying to many that Trump is going to use this FBI raid to his advantage to kickstart his reelection efforts against Democrats.

Commentators on the left, right, and center have expectedly had different opinions of what this unprecedented FBI raid was really about.

As Trump said in his statement, which was quickly parroted by conservative voices, “such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries.”

“Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before,” the former President added.

Immediately after the news broke, Trump supporters gathered outside Mar-a-Lago after the raid.

Eyes are also on DeSantis, as conservatives are anxious to see how the Florida Governor reacts to this “banana republic” event.

“The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” the sunshine state Gov. wrote on Twitter. “Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries?”

Gov. Krisi Noem of South Dakota also reacted on Twitter, saying, “The FBI raid on President Trump’s home is an unprecedented political weaponization of the Justice Department.”

Some conservatives like Steve Deace have called on Republicans to focus harder on defunding and fighting against the corrupted deep state.

“If you truly want to win must take responsibility for what you can control. You cannot control enemy’s capabilities and tactics, but you can your own,” the commenter wrote accompanied by a long Twitter thread highlighting the game plan for voters.

“Are we on the Right ready for and willing to submit to that level of self-assessment,” he added.

This is a developing story, but one thing is for certain; Conservatives are not going to take this “political persecution” of Trump sitting down.
