Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), an America First conservative under relentless attack from leftist opposition, is currently in court battling an attempt to bar her from representing her state in Congress.

Big League Politics has recently reported on this coordinated attack on America First conservatives. The tactic involves mischaracterizing the unarmed protests at the Capitol on January 6 as an “insurrection,” and then using a law from the era of the Civil War — Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment — meant to bar Confederates from running for Congress against conservative Republicans who can be tied to the protests.

Greene has publicly rejected violence and has pushed for legal and peaceful means to assure that the 2020 presidential election was a free and fair election.

The attack has already been waged against Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC), with the judge recognizing the ridiculousness of the argument and applying another Civil War-era law, the Amnesty Act, and dismissing the case. But an Obama-appointed judge has criticized this ruling and she allowed the politically-targeted case to move on. As a result of that judge’s decision to allow the case to move forward, Greene is in court today.

Now, a hero to American conservatism is on trial for her right to represent the citizens of Georgia, fighting the left’s constant use of political lawfare.

So far, the judge seems to be rejecting the arguments by the prosecutor in droves, sustaining objection after objection for Greene’s attorney.

These attacks on the principles of our Republic are being coordinated by a nonprofit deceptively named “Free Speech For People.” The group has set out to squelch political speech by stripping conservatives of their ability to represent their voters.

The Free Speech For People program involved with these underhanded tactics, the “14POINT3 Campaign,” is aimed at perversely applying Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to their political enemies and removing them from the conversation through political lawfare. The group failed to succeed when they tried this strategy against Rep. Cawthorn. But this has already gotten much further than that, with MTG currently on the stand testifying in defense of her political future.

The prosecutor, Andrew Celli, is implementing a strategy of turning American history and culture into a criminal offense, and trying to use that as evidence that MTG was calling for some sort of violence.

In a disgusting attempt to tie an American’s support for the Revolutionary War and the Declaration of Independence into calls for violence, the deranged prosecutor asked if Greene believed that the American Revolution was an “Insurrection.” Clearly, MTG is being unfairly persecuted by a particularly unscrupulous and anti-American lawyer.

Pacing and fidgeting behind his podium, Celli baited Greene: “If they take away your guns, you can never stop a tyrannical government.” He continued, trying to tie Greene to the use of the term “1776,” and then characterizing what was done in 1776 as the use of violence against a tyrannical government. He then asked Greene if she agreed with this subtle and fallacious twist of the history, the facts and the words of the America First senator.

In a truly scary weaponization of American history and culture, the lawyer’s strategy is evidently to twist Greene’s belief in the ideas America was built on into “evidence” of somehow being involved in the unarmed “insurrection” at the Capitol.

In a truly embarrassing moment for the desperate prosecutor, Celli quoted Greene quoting a poem by Dylan Thomas, “Do not go quietly into that good night.” He then proceeded to show a clip from the film “Independence Day,” where the poem’s words are used to rally Earth’s forces against an an alien invasion. Celli asserted, with a straight face, that using the famous words meant that she was somehow trying to start a violent revolt, similar to the revolt against alien invaders in the movie clip he had shown the court — yes, this really happened.

The judge did his best to hide his amusement, but anybody paying attention was smiling, if not laughing, at this point in the circus. By now, we all see this for what it is: more Democrat election meddling.

If you want to talk about “subverting our democracy,” look no further than MTG being forced to testify in court for being a Christian conservative who wanted to ensure a free and fair election in the United States of America.
