WATCH: Sen. Menendez Says Illegals Who Commit DUI Are Not Criminals

Step outside of reality with me for a minute, and enter the world of the Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), where there is no such thing as a law, especially for illegal aliens.
Menendez made this position very clear in a CNN segment with Wolf Blitzer on Monday night, arguing that President Donald J. Trump is the bad guy for – get this – enforcing border laws and prosecuting crimes committed by illegals.
“If you cross the border undocumented, [Trump] has now made you a criminal,” Menendez said. “If a person has a driving while under the influence (DUI) violation, he is now making that, saying that’s criminal.”
The context of the interview was a discussion about why Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities are overpopulated. Menendez apparently thinks that it is because Trump is inventing crimes with which to charge illegals. It has nothing to do, of course, with the fact that illegals are here illegally, and that they often commit further crimes while here.
“Because he tears children away from their mothers and puts them all in detention facilities, he has an over-demand as a result of his policy, so it’s his policy that’s driving this,” Menendez said later.
Menendez and his Democratic compadres turned a blind eye to this policy during the Obama administration. Now, this policy is everything that is wrong with those xenophobic Republicans, led by Trump.
Blitzer made no attempt to challenge Menendez’s lunacy.
One thing is clear from the interview: New Jersey is not sending its best to Congress.
