Democratic Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey is silent regarding comments made by Mississippi Republican Sen. Roger Wicker about the attractiveness of female Capitol Hill pages, who are mostly teenagers.
Wicker was caught on a hot mic referring to “beautiful girls,” after Booker made a comment about North Carolina being beautiful. Booker walked away when Wicker made his remark, possibly aware that he was on a hot mic.
But notice that Booker is smiling wide and laughing at Wicker’s comments (watch the upper left-hand corner of the video). Is it a double standard to hold the Republican accountable for the comments while excusing Democrat Booker for laughing about the comments, and condoning them?
Big League Politics reached out to Cory Booker’s office, but the New Jersey senator was still silent as of press time.
