Will Russia and the United States Launch a Nuclear War in Space?

During a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian government is firmly opposed to the deployment of nuclear weapons in space.

“This concerns the fuss that has been made recently in the West, including in the United States, regarding the deployment of nuclear weapons in space. Our position is clear and transparent: we have always been strongly against and are now against the deployment of nuclear weapons in space,” Putin stated.

The Russian president expressed his confusion with how the West previously alleged that Russia had plans of deploying nuclear weapons in space.

“On the contrary, we call for compliance not only with all agreements that exist in this area, but also proposed to strengthen this joint work,” he remarked.

“But now for some reason they are raising this topic in the West again and on such a fairly high emotional note,” Putin added.

Space has become one of the latest spheres that great power competition could take place in, which should frighten anyone who desires peace whether it’s on this earth or in space. Due to the dastardly ruling class that’s in control of the US and its NATO satrapies, space is another avenue where these malign actors could wreak havoc in.

The Russian government should be commended for its commitment to peace on this front. Hopefully, it follows through in its actions.
