Woman With Concealed Carry Stops Crazed Gunman With AR-15, ‘Saved Several Lives’

In a May 25 report – that has not garnered the coverage it deserves from corporate press outlets like CNN – a West Virginia woman with a concealed carry license stopped a crazed man equipped with an AR-15 who intended to kill dozens at a graduation party.
Notably, she stopped the potential mass murderer with only a pistol.
Per Charleston Police Department Chief of Detectives Tony Hazelett to local news WCHS-TV: “Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives last night.”
Hazelett then went on to praise the “good woman with a gun.”
Reports state that Dennis Butler, aged 37, was so upset with a group of people hosting a graduation party, that he parked his vehicle, jumped in the backseat, and began firing toward the group of about 30-40 people.
“There was a graduation party, a party with kids,” Hazelett told reporters at a press conference. “So obviously somebody just graduated high school and another birthday party. We could have had a casualty shooting there.”
Soon enough, the woman with the concealed carry weapon permit drew her handgun, then engaged Butler with direct fire – ultimately killing him. Police have not yet released the name of this hero, even though no one else was injured in this incident.
Police have confirmed, however, that the woman is not part of any law enforcement agency. Instead, she is just an average law-abiding citizen – a so-called “good guy with a gun” that the left has been adamant in claiming “doesn’t exist” or is a right-wing myth. This story goes directly against that narrative.
As Democrats rant and rave about gun control and abolishing the Second Amendment in the wake of the recent Uvalde shooting, many gun owners are siding with the notion that schools would be better protected if teachers were armed and properly trained.
A recent poll showed that 57.5% of respondents believe preventing well-trained teachers from carrying firearms in schools is “somewhat or much more dangerous.” While only 30.8% of respondents said the opposite.
Moreover, many Americans have pointed out that the ideas being pushed by Democrats wouldn’t have done anything to prevent the Uvalde massacre, and would instead, only punish law-abiding citizens who played no part in the tragedy.
Biden may say he is not looking to take away anyone’s rights, but his actions are telling a different story – one that many Americans are quickly beginning to notice.
For example, the Biden administration is currently targeting gun retailers, using a zero-tolerance policy for typos to revoke firearm licenses. This has led to a 500% increase in Federal firearm license revocations since last year. A clear round-about way to decrease gun sales across the nation.
