Wyoming GOP Stops Recognizing RINO Liz Cheney As Republican
In a remarkable reversal, the Wyoming GOP will no longer recognize Cheney as a member of the GOP.
According to the AP, “the Wyoming Republican Party will no longer recognize Liz Cheney as a member of the GOP in its second formal rebuke.” The 31-29 vote Saturday in Buffalo, Wyoming, by the state party central committee followed votes by local GOP officials in about one-third of Wyoming’s 23 counties to no longer recognize Cheney as a Republican.
This vote, as well as the one proceeding it in February, came in response to Cheney’s vote to impeach President Trump. Cheney was among 10 so called Republicans to impeach President Trump.
Previously, firebrand Matt Gaetz had traveled across Wisconsin to rally against America Last Liz Cheney. Many grassroots Republicans wanted Cheney removed from a position of power and influence in the Republican party. Cheney is now facing primary challengers, including one endorsed by Trump.
Lawyer Harriet Hageman was endorsed by Trump to challenge Liz Cheney in the primary. In a September statement, Trump had declared “I strongly endorse Republican House of Representatives Candidate Harriet Hageman from Wyoming who is running against warmonger and disloyal Republican, Liz Cheney… Unlike RINO Liz Cheney, Harriet is all in for America First. Harriet has my Complete and Total Endorsement in replacing the Democrats number one provider of sound bites, Liz Cheney. Make America Great Again!”
Cheney, as is, well known comes from a family of war hawks and RINOs. Cheney considers the Bush years to be the heyday of the Republican party. Instead of putting America and the American voters first Liz and her father have put the military industrial complex first repeatedly.
