Xi Jinping Boasts Strong Ties With Russia After Joe Biden’s “Dictator” Gaffe

Chinese President Xi Jinping celebrated “firm” relations between China and Russia a few days after his trip to San Francisco where he met up with President Joe Biden and executives of leading American tech companies.

Xi said on November 20, 2023 that positive Russia relations will “inject more stability into the world,” per China Central Television. He proclaimed  that China is prepared to work with Moscow “resolutely” on bilateral relations and forging a permanent friendship. His November 15 meeting with President Biden was mired in controversy after Biden labeled Xi as a “dictator” as a response to a reporter’s question.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent Xi a letter congratulating him for carrying out the 10th meeting of the dialogue mechanism between China and Russia’s ruling parties.

Chinese state media Xinhua gabe a brief summary of Putin’s letter:

Xinhua summarized Putin’s letter as follows

Putin said in his congratulatory letter that the Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination is at the highest level in history, and the two countries are working together to advance a number of large-scale cooperation projects in the fields of economy, transportation, energy and culture, among others.

The two countries are coordinating positions through bilateral channels and multilateral mechanisms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS to resolve major international issues and promote the building of a more just and democratic international order.

The Russo-Chinese alliance is here to stay. Thanks to the US’s misguided foreign policy of pursuing dual containment against China and Russia, these two Eurasian nuclear powers have formed a de facto balancing coalition against the US and its various satrapies in NATO and the Indo-Pacific region.

It’s a whole new geopolitical world out there. If policymakers can’t adjust to these realities, a geopolitical tragedy will strike America.
