YouTube Temporarily SUSPENDS One America News Network’s Channel for Violating “COVID-19 Misinformation” Policy
YouTube has temporarily suspended and demonetized the conservative One America News Network (most often referred to as OAN or OANN) for ostensibly violating their policy against “COVID-19 misinformation.”
Axios first reported the story Tuesday afternoon. YouTube spokeswoman Ivy Choi told the news outlet that OANN “uploaded a video promoting a phony cure for COVID-19.”

According to YouTube this is the OANN channel’s first “strike.” If they receive two more “strikes,” they will permanently ban their channel.
Axios also notes that “YouTube, like other platforms, has grown more willing to take action against conservative-leaning accounts that spread misinformation” and that “it has also been trying to provide greater visibility to legitimate news outlets.” In other words, grown more willing to suppress channels that don’t adhere to The Official Narrative and prop up channels that exuberantly do.
Back in September YouTube also censored Dr. Scott Atlas, a Hoover Institute senior fellow and Trump coronavirus advisor, for spreading “COVID-19 misinformation”:
