YouTube Will Grant ‘Certified’ Or ‘Reliable’ Badges For Videos Containing Medical Information

Throughout the pandemic, YouTube was relentless in suppressing any content it deemed “misinformation.” Basically silencing any discussion that went against the Covid-10 regime narrative and the so-called “science.”

Over the years, many claims that were once deemed misinfo and conspiracy theories quickly turned into facts as more details emerged regarding vaccines and failed leftist policies such as lockdowns and mask mandates.

In a recent announcement, Dr. Garth Graham, YouTube’s global head of health, indicated that fresh attempts are being made to censor even more content.

Per Graham, politicians (likely Democrat leaning ones) would become a new protected class under these YouTube changes.

Shadow-banning, the practice of making certain accounts harder to access via the platform’s search engine, would also increase as well.

“YouTube Health has been working on additional ways to help doctors, nurses, mental health professionals and healthcare information providers to [sic] bring high quality health information into the spaces that people visit throughout their day – like their favorite video-sharing app,” Graham wrote in a blog post.

To make this new plan work, YouTube will be granting “certified” or “reliable” badges to certain creators on the platform. In an Orwellian step to provide viewers with promoted “authoritative sources.”

In other words, this is the same process YouTube pushed all throughout the pandemic. Just now with more visual cues and status symbols to showcase which voices the platform approves of.

All in hopes of guiding users to the content they want them to see.

As Graham also revealed, users who spread  “medical misinformation” will not receive the “certified” or “reliable” label.

The way to apply for these labels was outlined by Natural News:

The way a doctor can receive YouTube’s “certified” or “reliable” label is by submitting his or her medical license to the tech giant and swearing to follow the “best practices” set forth by groups like the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS), the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), and the World Health Organization (WHO)…

In addition to submitting one’s medical license and swearing to spread only government-approved health information, doctors and medical professionals on YouTube will also need to maintain an account in good standing and follow certain other mandates.

“In the coming months, eligible channels that have applied through this process will be given a health source information panel that identifies them as a licensed healthcare professional and their videos will appear in relevant search results in health content shelves,” Graham explained.

As Natural News explained, YouTube is choosing to become everyone’s doctor through these actions by hand selecting who is capable of providing sufficient medical advice.

None of this was a thing before the pandemic. As it’s clear the platform decided to take matters into its own hands when deciding who and who was not a credible source when it came to always changing “science.”

“As destructive and malicious as this is, it could prove extremely useful,” wrote a commenter about YouTube’s new censorship plans.

“Once implemented, we will know that all medical information posted on YouTube is certified bullsquat,” they added.
