Roy Moore Leads GOP Field in Alabama Senate Poll

A new poll of potential GOP candidates for U.S. Senate in Alabama shows former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore leading the field.

“A new poll shows Moore leading a still-evolving field of Alabama Republicans competing for the nomination. He is the top choice of 27 percent of Alabama Republican voters, according to the Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy Inc. survey,” according to The Hill. 

“The state’s three Republican members of Congress finish well behind Moore: Rep. Mo Brooks would take 18 percent, Rep. Bradley Byrne clocks in at 13 percent and Rep. Gary Palmer would take 11 percent,” the report continued.

None of the candidates have officially announced their intentions to run against incumbent Sen. Doug Jones (D), who won a surprising victory in a 2017 special election.

Moore was blindsided by what appears to have been a play out of the George Soros Political Playbook late in his 2017 run when allegations of improper conduct with young women surfaced in the Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post, which is known for spiking rape allegations that might hurt Democrats. Moore refuted the allegations with a polygraph and is suing his primary accuser, among others, for defamation. His accuser continues to refuse to be deposed under oath regarding her allegations.

Moore was also the target of a sophisticated scheme, funded by LinkedIn billionaire Reid Hoffman, to make it appear as though “Russian trolls” were supporting his campaign. The political left used this maneuver to feed off the hysteria of the bogus “Russian collusion” narrative that is made up during its 2016 presidential loss.

The story of New Knowledge Inc. and “Project Birmingham,” a self-described false-flag operation designed to paint then-Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore as a Russian puppet, reached new heights Friday.

“A nonprofit group linked to Fusion GPS and partially funded by George Soros worked in recent months with a technology company implicated in a scheme to use fake Russian bots during Alabama’s special Senate election,” according to a Daily Caller report.

A non-profit called The Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP), according to the report, works with Fusion GPS and Christoper Steele who produced a fake document about President Donald J. Trump’s “connections” to Russia in order to slime him. The document was used to get a FISA warrant to surveil the President’s campaign, and subsequently an investigation was opened into Russian “collusion,” which is still ongoing.

The report said that TDIP partnered with New Knowledge during the 2018 midterms. This is the first time that two firms have been linked.

New Knowledge created fake Russian bots during Moore’s 2017 special election campaign, while its owner, Jonathon Morgan, spread conspiracy theories about the Judge’s campaign being bolstered by those same Russian bots, thus smearing him with a “collusion” story similar to what Fusion GPS used against Trump, albeit on a smaller scale.

Jones’ approval rating has tanked since his election in a state that overwhelmingly voted for President Donald J. Trump in 2016.
