AOC Addresses Her Faking Of Handcuffs After Being Escorted By Police

As BLP recently reported, numerous members of Congress were detained by Washington, D.C. police outside the Supreme Court Tuesday afternoon during a pro-abortion protest.
Now, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has attracted ridicule from Americans across the nation after the socialist congresswoman appeared to fake having hands tied behind her back upon being escorted away from the protest by Capitol police on Tuesday.
AOC accused Republicans who pointed out the obvious of engaging in ‘conspiracy theories’ and said they are intentionally distracting the masses from their real goal to rob women of bodily autonomy.
Capitol Police arrested a total of 34 people during the protest, 16 of whom were reportedly members of congress.
“It is against the law to block traffic, so officers are going to give our standard three warnings before they start making arrests,” the Capitol Police posted at the time before they later began making arrested after protestors ignored multiple warnings.
Fox News Host Tucker Carlson discussed the event on a recent episode of ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’:
“So today, several of the feistier members of Congress that would include Sandy Cortez and Ilhan Omar, both famous on Instagram, decided to block traffic in front of the Supreme Court,” Tucker began. “‘Cause ‘girl power’ means blocking traffic.”
“And that’s when police officers did something they’ve never done before,” he added. “Those mean cops put both Sandy Cortez and Ilhan Omar in invisible handcuffs and led them away with their hands behind their back. You’re seeing those images on the screen right now.”
“Now, several media outlets picked up these images as proof that Sandy Cortez and Ilhan Omar are deeply oppressed,” Tucker said, before continuing to mock AOC. “For Sandy Cortez, the trauma was real. Totally. It was her lived experience. She was wearing a coat in 90 degree heat. It’s just the latest harrowing tale of Sandy Cortez’s tenure in Congress. Her life since Boston University. You may recall that nearly a year and a half ago, she almost died.”
American journalist Kyle Becker pointed out that Ilhan Omar’s communications/strategy adviser Jeremy Slevin publicly stated that members of congress may be arrested during the abortion protest prior to their clashes with law enforcement, suggesting a possible setup.
“Members of Congress, including Ilhan Omar will be participating in a civil disobedience at the Supreme Court, potentially including arrests, shortly. 1 PM ET/12 PM CT,” wrote Slevin.

AOC has continued to publicly deny that she ever attempted to fake having hands behind her back.
No faking here. Putting your hands behind your back is a best practice while detained, handcuffed or not, to avoid escalating charges like resisting arrest.
