Boeing Drops Vaxx Mandate After Big League Exclusive
It was reported just last Friday that Boeing suspended its Covid-19 inoculation mandate for US-based employees. The company reportedly made an internal announcement explaining that the decision was made in wake of a U.S. District Court ruling earlier this month that blocked the enforcement of Joe Biden’s shot requirement for federal contractors. This ruling has since been reinstated by an appeals court and is expected to go up for decision by the Supreme court of the United States.
Also mentioned in the memo was that the company already had a 92% compliance rate at the time of ending the mandate, which Boeing argued put them in a good position to fire dissenting employees should they decide to bring the mandate back.
“The success of Boeing’s vaccination requirement to date positions the company well to comply with the federal executive order should it be reinstated in the future,” the memo read.
The news came after Big League Politics reported on an exclusive story in which an insider manager from Boeing had come forward to speak out against the forced inoculation policy. The manager, who remained anonymous for fear of blowback by the company, explained that Boeing’s mandate caused massive issues throughout nearly all aspects of the operation.
“It has created a division with the employees and the managers,” the manager exclusively told BLP in December, just a couple of weeks before the company mandate was dropped. “It has created a lot of animosity… people don’t want to talk to you because they are looking at me as the enemy. I’m the enforcer of Covid, I’m the gatekeeper. They’ve made me the Covid police.”
Sources from within the company informed BLP that the article grew popular with the employees and reached many. There were also allegations of executives passing the article around before Boeing reversed the mandate.
Boeing’s Covid-19 inoculation mandate remains off the table for now, but sources have indicated to BLP that there are other potentially draconian policies in line for employees that will start soon after the new year. The story will be updated as more information comes to light.
