BREAKING: J.D. Vance Wins Ohio U.S. Senate Republican Primary
Populist Hillbilly Elegy author J.D. Vance is being projected as the winner of the contentious Ohio U.S. Senate race primary for the Republican nomination to the position. He will face off against Democrat Tim Ryan in November.
Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report projected Vance as the winner as of 8:43 pm EST on Tuesday night:
I've seen enough: J.D. Vance (R) wins the Republican nomination for #OHSEN and will face Tim Ryan (D) in the fall.

Big League Politics reported on how Vance earned the Trump endorsement despite his history of doubting President Trump after masterfully articulating America First stances on the campaign trail:
“Populist U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance is now the frontrunner to win the Republican nomination for the position after receiving the endorsement of President Donald Trump.
A Fox News poll released on Tuesday shows that Vance has support from 23 percent of Republican primary voters in Ohio. This is a massive jump of 12 points since March.
Vance’s closest competition includes Josh Mandel, who failed to get the Trump endorsement after weeks of lobbying, with 18 percent support. He has dropped two points in the polls since March. The other closest competitor, Mike Gibbons, has dropped like a stone, going from 22 percent support in March to only 13 percent support at the present time.
Trump endorsed Vance earlier in the month, believing that Vance’s intellectual bona fides will make him a tough opponent for a Democrat such as Rep. Tim Ryan, who is expected to be their nominee.
“I’ve studied this race closely and I think J.D. is the most likely to take out the weak, but dangerous, Democrat opponent — dangerous because they will have so much money to spend,” Trump said.
“It is time for the MAGA movement … to unite behind J.D.’s campaign because, unlike so many pretenders and wannabes, he will put America First,” the president added.”
In addition to President Trump, Trump’s first-born son and namesake – Donald Trump Jr. – is also a huge Vance fan and has been championing his candidacy on the campaign trail.
The same pro-China group funding career politician @JoshMandelOhio, spent $10 million to stop Trump in 2016 & are spending millions today to stop @JDVance1.

While stumping for Vance, Trump Jr. noted that a vote for Vance would be a vote against “Big War,” as Vance was the only candidate in the race pushing back against the propaganda drive regarding Ukraine that has already resulted in a dangerous U.S. proxy war against Russia.
“I mean, I get it, guys, Big Pharma has been at the trough for two years. It’s Big War’s turn again, but it doesn’t seem like, I’m watching this like, you got to be kidding me. It’s like they didn’t even know or think about it, like, it was too much trying to be like the tough guy on a stage, not enough actually doing what’s right for our citizens, and we’ve seen too much of that from our government. We’ve seen too much of that from our officials. I don’t want weak establishment Republicans in there anymore. We’ve got enough of them,” Trump Jr. said while praising Vance.
His comments can be seen here:
BREAKING: @DonaldJTrumpJr: They’re trying to get us into another war, but it won’t be the kids of the establishment going over to fight Russia over Ukraine

Vance’s victory is great news for the rising populist and nationalist tide within the new Republican Party. It also shows that the Trump endorsement is as good as gold for lifting Vance from the middle of the pack to a decisive primary victory.
