Conservatives BLAST Fox News Over Latest Trans Puff Piece, ‘Absolute, Horrifying Propaganda’
Last week, so-called “conservative-leaning” Fox News ran a segment promoting transgenderism for kids – WATCH:
Fox News actually ran an entire segment endorsing trans surgery for children. This isn’t one of those wacky weekend hosts either. This is from Fox News’ Republican staple Dana Perino. pic.twitter.com/QWrE6eVe35

In the clip, host Dana Perino introduces the story before pivoting to correspondent Bryan Llenas who commended the “courage” it took the young girl who “transitioned” into a boy to share her story.
The transgender child is shown with immense support from her parents “particularly at a time when transgender issues have been politicized.”
The segment, as part of Fox News’ “America Together: LGBTQ+ Pride Month” series, covers a young girl named Ryland. Her parents have attempted to raise her as a boy, claiming it is what Ryland has wanted since she was five years old. Earliest signs of this transition process date back to 2014.
Now, conservatives are speaking out against the shocking segment.
As Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire put it in a lengthy Twitter thread, the whole report was “absolute, horrifying propaganda,” and the story is nothing shy of “child abuse.”
This would be absolute despicable insane lunacy if I saw it on CNN or MSNBC. To see it on Fox News is a complete betrayal of anything remotely resembling conservatism or decency. https://t.co/GByzfB2F5c

Podcast host Matt Walsh and maker of the new What Is a Woman documentary about this exact subject – transgenderism targeted at kids – encouraged other conservatives to “call this evil lunacy out wherever we see it. Especially on our own side.”
“I have appeared on Fox News many times,” he noted on Twitter. “I appreciate the platform they’ve given me. If what I’m about to say ruins that relationship, so be it.”

Conservative podcast host and author, Allie Beth Stuckey, also said she was “stunned” over the “maddening & heartbreaking” segment.
I’m stunned that Fox News ran a segment celebrating a girl whose parents “transitioned” her into a boy when she was 5 because she apparently told them she was a boy “before [she] could talk.” Absolutely maddening & heartbreaking. https://t.co/T8k1QQS6uH pic.twitter.com/kCvacbtY3X

“I’m stunned that Fox News ran a segment celebrating a girl whose parents ‘transitioned’ her into a boy when she was 5 because she apparently told them she was a boy ‘before [she] could talk,’” Stuckey posted to Twitter.
“Perhaps they should watch [Matt Walsh]’s doc, read Abigail Shrier’s book, and read the many reports by [Women Read Women] about the unspeakable harm and predation involved in ‘transitioning’ children,” Stuckey continued. “It doesn’t get more wicked.”
It’s worth noting that Shapiro, Walsh, and Stuckey have all been Fox News contributors on and off over the past few years. They have frequently appeared on various shows across the network to denounce topics like transgenderism. Especially when targeted at young children.
Speaking out against Fox News for its decision to run and promote this subject could impact their contributor arrangements, but none of them seem to care about any of that – this story is way bigger than all of those potential consequences.
As many conservatives have pointed out, Fox News has always leaned somewhat “socially conservative”, but this latest segment serves more like a puff piece for child transitioning than anything else. For example, the outlet has notably added Caitlyn Jenner to its commentator lineup, so it’s not completely out of leftfield to have Fox News run a story like this.
Many, many other conservatives have spoken out against the network for airing this story, including Town Hall, National Review, The Blaze, and The Federalist. There are plenty of others.
The backlash for this one is real. Conservatives will not (and should not) stay silent.
