LIAR: Loudoun Official Said He Did Not Recall Being Informed Of Sex Assault — Despite Answering Email On It

Loudon Superintendent Scott Ziegler

Internal Loudoun County School Board emails show a constantly changing explanation about how many school board members knew about a school sexual assault, with one member telling the school’s superintendent in wake of cover-up allegations that he may have “missed an email” informing him about it — even though he previously responded to that very email for further clarification and had allegedly just heard about the incident from somebody else, The Daily Wire reported.

“From my memory I recall” only learning about it “during the public comment process,” Democrat board member Harris Mahedavi wrote in an email to Loudoun County Public Schools Superintendent Scott Ziegler on October 12th. This was just one day after The Daily Wire had revealed that a girl had been raped in a bathroom on May 28th and that the superintendent denied the event’s occurrence during a public board meeting on June 22nd.

As previously reported, Ziegler wrote to the school board members immediately following the rape in May saying, “The purpose of this email is to provide you with information regarding an incident that occurred at Stone Bridge HS. This afternoon a female student alleged that a male student sexually assaulted her in the restroom.”

It was only about 3 weeks later on June 22nd when Ziegler said the following in a public board meeting:

“To my knowledge, we don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.” No school board members at the meeting challenged the superintendent on the contradiction.

Newly obtained emails posted by The Daily Wire paint a very different story. The series of messages were forced out by the parents’ group Fight For Schools as part of a Freedom of Information Act request.

On May 28th, Mahedavi sent an email to the superintendent, writing: “Dr. Ziegler, Has there been any update on this case that you can share with the board?”

Ziegler replied: “This matter is under investigation by law enforcement, and I am unable to provide an update.”

Another email written to the superintendent by school board member Beth Barts suggested that she had heard of a sexual assault at the school from the parents.

“In addition to understanding where LCPS is in regards to the allegations of sexual assault (per the parents) I would like to know how LCPS will handle the rally Wednesday?”

The story remains hot, with more updates expected soon. Big League Politics has previously covered the sexual assault and coverup by the Loudon County Virignia schools, including the arrest of the student’s father as he was protesting the event & a school-wide walkout held in support of the victim and her family.
