Minnesota School District Releases Fully Redacted Documents to Activist Group in Attempt to Conceal Critical Race Theory Indoctrination

A Minnesota school district returned fully redacted pages to an activist group that filed a data request to obtain information about whether or not critical race theory is being implemented.
The Owatonna school district is allegedly breaking the law in order to conceal how they are indoctrinating children into this anti-American, vehemently racist, pseudohistorical curriculum designed to make children hate themselves and others due to the color of their skin.
“They’re less than halfway through, four months later, and there’s tons of redactions. It’s hard to know what is even in some of these things,” James Dickey of the Upper Midwest Law Center told Alpha News. Dickey is representing United Patriots for Accountability, the group that issued the data request and received the heavily-redacted information in response.
“I think that it’s likely a misunderstanding of how the Data Practices Act works. I always want to give the benefit of the doubt — but I think there’s no question that they’re not complying with the Data Practices Act as it should be complied with,” he added.
The Upper Midwest Law Center explained in a letter how they believe the Owatonna school district violated the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act by releasing the redacted documents.
“It is also apparent, upon reviewing some examples of redaction, that the District is redacting data that could not possibly be protected from access as public data under the MGDPA. For example, one document produced in response to our clients’ November 11 request is an email between an unidentified District employee and Emily Kahnke of the Owatonna People’s Press. In that document, you entirely redact the name of the public employee sender from within the District, and what appears to be a picture that was sent to another member of the public — a reporter. There is absolutely no justification for withholding data like this. I can only imagine that this error is repeated again and again throughout the redactions that the District has made,” they wrote.

“Emails obtained by the non-profit Parents Defending Education reveal that the National School Board Association sought help from President Biden and the federal government to silence critics of critical race theory in public education, weeks before Attorney General Merrick Garland opened an FBI probe into CRT critics at the direction of a letter from the NSBA that likened them to terrorists.
The internal NSBA emails reveal some educators affiliated with the left-wing organization were skeptical of the notion of labeling CRT’s critics as terrorists, a concern that was ignored by the group’s national leadership...
In an email sent on October 2nd, Viola Garcia, Secretary-Treasurer of the NSBA, revealed the group had been coordinating with the White House on opposition to CRT. “NSBA has been engaged with the White House and the Department of Education on these and other issues related to the pandemic for several weeks now.” Garcia went on to dismiss opposition to the NSBA’s letter seeking political prosecution of its opponents by invoking the supposed threat of violence concerned parents pose to left-wing school boards, despite no more than a small handful of arrests occurring at board meetings, usually of parents for interrupting proceedings.
“In talks over several weeks with White House staff, they requested additional information on some of the specific threats, so the letter also details many of the incidents that have been occurring,” wrote NSBA interim executive director Chip Slaven in another email.“
John Halkias, the NSBA’s Central Regional director, criticized the group’s letter calling for political prosecution, admitting that the NSBA should’ve deliberated internally before accusing CRT critics of terrorism and demanding the federal government silence them.“
The far-left indoctrinators are proving that they do not have the best interests of the children in mind now that they are under the microscope. The shameful actions of the Owatonna school district are only sowing the seeds of their demise.
