As NY Legalizes Infanticide, Texas Rep Briscoe Cain Files ‘Hearbeat’ Bill

AUSTIN, TX — On Thurs., Feb. 7, Texas lawmakers filed a new “heartbeat” bill to protect born-alive infants from the new practices sanctioned in New York State, according to reports.

The bill is proposed regularly by pro-life advocates in Texas, but the latest salvo is led by the youngest and the “most conservative” member of the Texas House: Briscoe Cain from Deer Park.

Cain will be speaking with Big League Politics this week in an exclusive sitdown with our Texas team.

Other state leaders, including one of the most powerful men in Texas, had some choice words for the glorification of “infanticide” in modern America.

“It’s no longer abortion. It’s euthanasia, is what it is. You’re killing a person,” said Sid Miller, Texas Commissioner of Agriculture.

“I never thought the words ‘post-birth abortion’ would ever cross my lips in this country,” Miller continued.

“It’s a cruel world we are living in and we keep sliding down the slope. We’ve got to dig in our heels and stop the the slide. We can’t let this go on anymore.”

“And I think we’ve got a president who will do just that,” He added.

“If it’s not a human, kill it; no defense is necessary. If it is a human, then no defense is possible,” say some critics of late-term abortion.

President Obama is on record as supporting abortion at every stage. Incredibly, as a state senator, he defended this view when he voted against legislation to protect infant survivors of abortions:

“… whenever we define a pre-viable fetus as a person that is protected by the Equal Protection Clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we’re really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a – a child, a 9-month-old – child that was delivered to term. That determination then, essentially, if it was accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place. I mean, it – it would essentially bar abortions, because the Equal Protection Clause does not allow somebody to kill a child.”

His sentiments are eerily similar to the cold, emotionally vacant remarks of Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam:

“So in this particular example if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he said. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
