B-list actor Patton Oswalt joked about the prospect of Trump supporters, or ‘MAGAts,’ as he termed them, dying from the Chinese coronavirus on Tuesday.

Oswalt is the latest public figure or mediocre celebrity to find the prospect hilarious. A Denver city councilwoman “sarcastically” said that she would start attending Trump rallies in the event that she became infected with the virus.

Oswalt had been responding to a totally unfounded Twitter rumor that Trump had ordered Attorney General Bill Barr to investigate media coverage of the coronavirus.

The President of a Koch-funded tech lobbying front group was ratioed Monday night for a tweet in which he celebrated the prospect of President Trump himself being infected with the coronavirus, calling it “poetic justice.”

Oswalt, a diminutive actor, has a lengthy track record of callously insulting and attacking Donald Trump supporters. He’s shown off his well-rounded vocabulary by referring to Trump conservatives broadly as “stupid a*******.”

There seems to be a broad subsection of liberals who are inclined to view the coronavirus epidemic as an opportunity to advance their political fantasies. President Trump and the federal government cannot wholly control the disease.

The epidemic shouldn’t be callously used by liberals as an opportunity to make a political point, let alone voice their naked hatred for conservative and traditional Americans.
