President Trump Says He Regrets Not Marching with Supporters to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6
President Donald Trump said that he regrets not marching with supporters to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2020 like he originally planned to do.
Trump said this during an interview with the Washington Post where he also blamed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for allegedly ordering Capitol Police to stand down while the violent display was staged.
“I thought it was a shame, and I kept asking why isn’t she doing something about it? Why isn’t Nancy Pelosi doing something about it? And the mayor of D.C. also. The mayor of D.C. and Nancy Pelosi are in charge,” Trump said.
“I hated seeing it. I hated seeing it. And I said, ‘It’s got to be taken care of,’ and I assumed they were taking care of it,” he added.
Trump ultimately blamed Secret Service for not allowing him to live up to his word and march with his supporters to the U.S. Capitol on that fateful day.
“Secret Service said I couldn’t go. I would have gone there in a minute,” he said.
Big League Politics reported on how Trump canceled his historic press conference that was scheduled to take place on the one-year anniversary of Jan. 6 because he was scared by the potential media coverage:
“President Donald Trump has cancelled his press conference scheduled to take place at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Jan. 6, the one-year anniversary of the historic protest against election fraud that turned violent under federal influence at the U.S. Capitol.
“In light of the total bias and dishonesty of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media, I am canceling the January 6th Press Conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday,” Trump said in an email blast issued through his Save America PAC.
The president added that he “instead will discuss many of those important topics at my rally on Saturday, January 15th, in Arizona.”
“What has become more and more obvious to ALL is that the LameStream Media will not report the facts that Nancy Pelosi and the Capitol Sergeant-at-Arms denied requests for the D.C. National Guard or Military to be present at the Capitol. Their emails and correspondence with the Department of Defense exist, but the media won’t ask for this evidence, or report the truth!” Trump said.
Even though Trump is spinning this as a win, some of his most devoted supporters, including Florida U.S. Congressional candidate Laura Loomer, are disappointed by his cancellation.
“It’s a shame that President Donald Trump canceled his January 6th press conference. I was really looking forward to it,” she wrote in a Telegram post.
“It would have been a great opportunity to raise awareness about the corrupt January 6 committee and the January 6 political prisoners,” Loomer added.”
Not only did Trump fail to march with his supporters to the U.S. Capitol as he initially promised on Jan. 6, but also he failed before leaving office to pardon patriots who were ultimately thrown under the bus. The deep state is now fully in control, and Trump is on the outside looking in as the gains made during his term in the White House are quickly reversed and nullified by the Biden regime.
