Ron DeSantis Campaign Staff Feuds with His Top Super PAC Over Disastrously Failed Presidential Run

As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ establishment-backed presidential hopes go up in smoke, people in his orbit are pointing the finger at each other and trying to pass the buck for the incredible failure.

Politico has reported that the official DeSantis presidential campaign is feuding with his top presidential Super PAC as DeSantis flails nationally and does not resonate in the polls.

This past week, Never Back Down PAC (NBD) announced that the pro-DeSantis group’s CEO, Chris Jankowski, and the group’s chair, Adam Laxalt, would be resigning. NBD has pushed bad television ads that has turned off voters, which is reportedly what caused the shakeup. Fight Right PAC, a recently-formed pro-DeSantis group, is expected to step in and handle television ads in the future.

“The campaign doesn’t think NBD’s current interim leadership should be within a mile of a TV budget,” a person close to DeSantis said to Politico.

“The last few weeks have caused the campaign to lose confidence in multiple top NBD officials as a result of poor performance as well as rampant leaking to push false, unauthorized narratives to the press,” another DeSantis operative said to Politico.

Big League Politics has reported on how DeSantis is getting absolutely crushed and humiliated by President Trump in the polls:

According to a poll recently published by the Wall Street Journal, former President Donald Trump still maintains a firm lead for the Republican presidential nomination. In addition, Republican primary voters overwhelmingly believe his four criminal prosecutions have dubious merits and nearly half indicated that the indictments motivate their support for him.

Per the WSJ poll, 59% of Republican voters view Trump as their top choice for the GOP nomination in 2024. Previously viewed as Trump’s most credible challenger, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis only enjoys 13% support among GOP primary voters at second place in the poll.

One thing the poll detailed is that criminal prosecutions, that in previous eras might have torpedoed a candidate’s election bid, have actually strengthened Trump at the polls. Two of Trump’s indictments consist of his efforts to stay in office after his loss in the 2020 presidential election, which rife with many alleged causes of irregularities and fraud.

When questioned about Trump’s indictments, over 60% of Republican primary voters indicated that each of these indictments were political in nature and had zero merit. 78% of these voters believed Trump’s actions following the 2020 election constituted legitimate attempts to guarantee an accurate vote, whereas 16% indicated that Trump had illegally attempted to block Congress from certifying the election.

Not only has DeSantis failed in his 2024 presidential campaign, but also his craven self-serving betrayal of the MAGA movement that made him governor of Florida is likely to ruin his chances in future presidential elections. The luster is off of DeSantis, who has become just another Benedict Arnold to America First patriots nationwide.
