Twitter Account Documents Squalid “Third World City” of Los Angeles

A Twitter account titled ‘Street People of Los Angeles’ has attracted a following for demonstrating the squalid, derelict conditions of an increasingly “3rd world city,” revealing the fruits of “progressive” Democrat governance.

Videos uploaded by Street People of Los Angeles paint a picture of a blighted city with conditions resembling the most troubled cities of nations such as Mexico, India, and Brazil, although there’s an arguable case that even the poorest cities of the latter are cleaner and more orderly than the city of Angels.

Homeless tent encampments have swelled beyond sidewalks in many of Los Angeles’ neighborhoods close to Venice Beach, formerly a hip hangout in the 20th century frequented by bodybuilders, actors and musicians.

Homeless transients can be seen brawling in a state of disorderly conduct in the homeless camps, with police largely helpless to clean up the streets at the directive of Soros-owned “progressive” county prosecutor George Gascón.

Entire city blocks of Koreatown are overrun with homeless tents and urban blight in the account’s videos, run by a fed-up resident of the neighborhood. Such scenes of third-world poverty and filth were previously limited to the city’s Skid Row neighborhood, but the phenomenon has now spread throughout the entire city of Los Angeles. Some estimates indicate that Los Angeles is the area of residence to more homeless people than any other metro area in the “developed” world; California itself hosts nearly a quarter of all the homeless people in the United States.

Videos of Los Angeles display a picture of societal decay in all its glory, with older 20th century imagery of Los Angeles attesting to the disgraceful decline of America’s second largest city.

If the dismal quality of life and societal decay of Los Angeles represents a “progressive” path forward away from traditional American first-world living standards, the nation is doomed.
