#VetoTheBill: Outrage Over COVID-19 Stimulus Bill Filled with Congressional Pork Spreads Rapidly on Social Media
Bipartisan outrage is quickly building on social media over a COVID-19 stimulus bill that represents the worst of how the Washington D.C. swamp operates.
Congress agreed to the pork-laden relief package on Monday. The legislation features $900 billion in COVID-19 relief as part of $2 trillion in new spending, with every American receiving a pittance of $600 while special interests make out like bandits.
Libertarian-leaning Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and far-left socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are pointing out the fact that none of their colleagues could have possibly read the legislation before voting to approve it earlier today.
It’s not good enough to hear about what’s in the bill. Members of Congress need to see & read the bills we are expected to vote on.
I know it’s “controversial” & I get in trouble for sharing things like this, but the people of this country deserve to know. They deserve better.

This is what the establishment Republicans and Democrats in Washington D.C. devised after President Donald Trump pushed to issue $1,200 worth of stimulus checks directly to the American people before the election, as Big League Politics reported:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is expected to announce plans for a second round of $1,200 checks to most Americans next week, as a component of a second $1 trillion stimulus package intended to alleviate the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
McConnell plans to push the $1 trillion stimulus package next week as an alternative to more costly and politically loaded Democratic spending plans. He spoke of his plans to include a second round of direct payments akin to the first $1,200 check under the March CARES Act on Tuesday. “And speaking of building on what worked in the CARES Act, we want another round of direct payments to help American families keep driving our national comeback.”
Democrats such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are said to be fighting to fill the stimulus package with a goodie list of leftist policy priorities, such as “racial pay equity” and corporate board affirmative action quotas. Democrats passed a much more expensive $3 trillion spending bill in May, which was rejected by the Republicans.
It appears as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread and Americans are prevented from returning to workplaces, the Republican Party is more willing to consider a new round of stimulus legislation.
The rules for the first $1,200 check will apply to the second, with all tax filers who claimed less than $75,000 in income receiving a stack from the federal government. Tax filers with dependents will receive $500 per child.
The swamp stopped President Trump from delivering a big win to the American people. They gave the win to foreigners and special interests and lobbyists instead.
