Burger King’s ‘Pride Whopper’ Uses Two Top Or Two Bottom Buns To Promote ‘Equal Love And Equal Rights’

Perhaps Burger King is trying to one-up Taco Bell’s “Drag Queen Brunches” with the company’s latest debut; the “Pride Whopper.”

Thanks to Burger King Austria and its devotion to LGBTQ Pride Month, a new hamburger comes with either two top buns or two bottom buns in a lame attempt to promote “equal love and equal rights.”

“We are setting an example for individuality and freedom and stand for a respectful interaction with each other,” the fast-food chain’s Australian website said. “Equal rights. Empathy. Understanding. No matter where you come from, no matter who you love, no matter what you look like or what you believe in: Time to be proud.”

Of course, there are many critics on Twitter right now, but nothing about this story ought to be surprising coming from Burger King. Especially considering they were the company that depicted its mascot making out with Ronald McDonald in a 2020 ad campaign.

Even some from the LGBTQ community have spoken out against the Pride Burger, calling it a cheap idea to score clicks invented by “some straight people.”

In another example, last June Burger King donated 40 cents from the purchase of every Ch’King sold that month to the Human Rights Campaign – the largest LGBT advocacy group and political lobbying organization in the world.

They even went as far as to mock Chik-fil-A, the most notorious chicken sandwich competitor, for not actively supporting LGBTQ rights.

“The #ChKing says LGBTQ+ rights! during #pride month (even on Sundays 👀),” the infamous tweet read. “Your chicken sandwich craving can do good! we are making a donation* to @HRC for every Ch’King sold.”

It’s worth noting that it’s only June 6 at the time of this writing, so it should be expected that many more woke corporations will continue to push LGBTQ Pride with similarly quirky gimmicks to cash in on this heavily anticipated marketing opportunity.

Even the nation’s military has joined in on the Pride action. Celebrating different sexual lifestyles to virtue signal its allegiance to wokeness and political correctness.

Pride Month has quickly turned into a woke Olympics for participating corporations to showcase who can virtue signal the hardest.

Although many Americans are choosing to boycott companies who choose to push LGBTQ agendas, some have doubled down on their rhetoric despite the backlash.

Some companies on the in-between like State Farm, however, are quickly backtracking their comments once the conservative backlash grows to be too much to handle.

Pay attention to which companies are promoting LGBTQ Pride at every turn, but also take notice of which corporations are not.
