New Mask Mandate Imminent In Los Angeles County

If you enjoy listening to daddy government, get your face diapers out! A reintroduction of universal forced masking in Los Angeles appears to be imminent after the county’s public health director warned it may return soon, citing increasing levels of Covid-19 transmission for the rationale.

Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer reportedly told the LA County Board of Supervisors she expects transmission of the Chinese coronavirus to move into the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s defined “high” activity category within days.

The county, as of Tuesday, was in the “medium” COVID level, as defined by the CDC.

NBC Los Angeles reported that the county’s rate of daily COVID-positive patients admitted to hospitals would have to top 10 per 100,000 residents in order for the transmission rate to be considered “high.” Ferrer said this could likely happen within days; Los Angeles bureaucrats would enact forced-masking orders soon thereafter.

That rate was at 8.8 per 100,000 residents as of Tuesday.

This mask mandate will be imposed should the county remains in the “high” category for two consecutive weeks, according to NBC.

“I do recognize that when we return to universal indoor masking to reduce high spread, for many, this will feel like a step backwards,” Ferrer acknowledged.

She nevertheless doubled down on her belief, claiming that forcing people to wear the facial cover “makes a lot of sense because it helps us to reduce risk.”

It is worth noting that as it stands today masks are still imposed in many aspects of Los Angeles life. Examples include all forms of public transportation in LA County, healthcare facilities such as hospitals and medial clinics, and even many schools with young children, who suffer greatly from forced masking both mentally and physically, according to many scientific studies. (as well as anyone with a brain or common sense)

Should this universal mask mandate be enacted, all of the aftermentioned locations would continue to have mask mandates, as will all other indoor public spaces. This includes shared office spaces, manufacturing facilities, retail stores, indoor events, indoor restaurants and bars, schools, and more.
